We've partnered with Scribd so your documents are now viewable right from Producteev!

Yes, lots of news these days…! And we particularly like this one.

You already know that you can attach files to your tasks as a note. Pretty popular feature, because it’s an easy way to manage different versions of your files, related to your tasks. By the way, if you send an email to task@producteev.com with a file attached to it, it will be automatically posted as a first note…

Back to our announcement : What if you didn’t have to download those files to view them?

It’s now a reality, we’ve partnered with Scribd (the Youtube for documents), so your files will be displayed right below the note, viewable in one click. And that’s a game changer to us, makes things much easier to work on Files and comment on files without going through the painful download process.

You still have the choice though : Download or Preview.

Here is the list supported by Scribd :

Portable Document Format (.pdf) PostScript (.ps) Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps, .pptx) Microsoft Excel (.xls, xlsx) OpenOffice Text Document (.odt, .sxw) OpenOffice Presentation Document (.odp, .sxi) OpenOffice Spreadsheet (.ods, .sxc) All OpenDocument formats Plain text (.txt) Rich Text Format (.rtf) And we added Pictures (.jpg, .png, .gif…)

So, how do you like this one?

Set a Priority on Tasks with our new Starring System

Greetings!

Let’s just say that this was one of the most requested features since our launch.

You wanted a way to prioritize your tasks, not just with one star, but potentially different levels of stars.

We took the time to think through that process, to make sure we would make the right decision, and there you go, here is the new “Priority” feature.

By clicking on the star, on the left of every task, you can now choose the level of priority for each of them : between zero (the grey star) and five (the red one)

Then when you need to start working on some task list based on their priority, you just need to click on the new “Sort by” filter that we added inside the bottom bar, select “Priority”, and that’s it. Your tasks are ranked by level of priority. You can apply that filter no matter where you are on Producteev : Filter, Labels, People…

Enjoy, and do let us know what you guys think!

How does labeling work on Producteev, and what's new?

You know we like doing screencasts for you guys, usually it explains things faster, plus you get to hear some use cases at the same time.

This one is about “Labels”, we just released some cool features, especially the “Smart Label Manager” that lets us organize your labels automatically based on their usage, pretty neat.

We also tell you how to edit and organize your labels

As always, let us know if you have questions!

You can now add multiple E-mail and IM accounts to Producteev!

You’ve asked, we deliver!

A lot of people are using personal and professional E-mail addresses for instance, they want to be able to forward their emails from both addresses to Producteev. You can now do so!

Make sure you add those new E-mail and IM accounts from your communication preferences, under your workspace settings (bottom left, located in the menu bar)

Same rules for your IMs, add 3 gtalk accounts if you want to, it’s that simple :)

Enjoy!

PS: Might be worth adding that each of your accounts works for all of your workspaces. You just to tag them with the name of your workspace you want to send it to. Ex: Dentist appointment #personal will go to your Personal workspace, no matter what communication service you’re using. When you connect them once, it works for all.

Producteev Redefines Task Management with New Breakthrough Product

Producteev Redefines Task Management with New Breakthrough Product

Producteev Two Gives Users the Fastest, Most Seamless Way to Stay Organized and On Top of Tasks Across All Platforms and Communication Channels

See a video of Producteev’s brand new Task Management application

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 2, 2010 — Producteev, a leading provider of cross platform task management, announced its breakthrough new product, Producteev Two. By plugging into the broadest array of popular communication tools, Producteev Two extends users’ ability to efficiently capture tasks, email-based action items or schedule deadlines, using whatever communication channel they prefer. The product, free to individuals, connects to a myriad of popular communication tools, so scheduling tasks is a seamless experience that doesn’t require any change in users’ workflow. People can now use a task manager without having to go to a web app if they don’t want to. They can send tasks from their email or IM and get notifications back. The company’s goal is to redefine the task management landscape, and help users achieve peace-of-mind by liberating individuals and teams from having to manage their tasks, workload and deadlines through their email inbox, since existing solutions have thus far fallen short.

In addition, the company announced the launch of Producteev Two for the iPhone and the planned release of its desktop client for the Mac platform, which will be available later this month. The mobile app, also free, works offline and syncs in the background when the user goes back online; it also sends push notifications. Producteev Two for the iPhone will be available for download on the iTunes App Store imminently.

The way people work today has grown increasingly complex with the use of multiple computers for work, home and travel, plus email, mobile, IM, desktop and the web. Although numerous productivity tools have been available for a long time, they haven’t kept pace in helping users stay connected to the growing array of communication tools that they’ve adopted. Users are encumbered more than ever before at trying to manage their email inboxes and with the new assignments and to-do items that arrive each day by way of email. Findings from a January survey by Harris Research concluded:

“I’ve seen hundreds of project management systems and tested dozens, and none of them come close to Producteev Two. This product is the first that actually works the way I do and doesn’t force me to go through additional steps of launching new applications or visiting another online site for every little update,” stated Armando Corrales, a small business owner and Producteev Two user based in Lynchburg, VA.

“Five years ago, we used email much differently than the way we use it today. At Producteev, we recognized it was important to help our customers harness email for what it does best—communicating, but we also needed to facilitate how people capture tasks with a complementary tool that plugs into a broad range of communication tools that are used daily,” stated Ilan Abehassera, Producteev’s co-founder and CEO.

Producteev Two helps individuals and teams get things done as efficiently as possible so they can be better organized, in control of their workload, and ultimately more at-ease. With Producteev Two, users won’t have to worry about forgetting tasks, important things to do or missing deadlines due to an action item being buried in their email inbox. Key features include:

Simpler

Faster

More Connected

More Social

Producteev Two is available immediately and is free for individuals or is available for businesses to purchase from a selection of plans.
